La Jolla Snorkel Rentals — Rentals, Sales and Tours 

Snorkel rentals are fun for the whole family! Renting snorkel gear in La Jolla from our shop is easy and quick! Our snorkeling gear rentals include a wetsuit, mask, snorkel, fins, and a water map. Complimentary lockers and changing rooms are available for use with snorkeling rentals, and all other equipment rentals.  

The snorkel gear rental package includes your mask, snorkel, fins, and a wetsuit. Experienced snorkelers can explore the La Jolla Cove with ease, as La Jolla Cove is usually calm and the visibility is usually good.  Snorkeling gear rentals are $20 per day for the full snorkeling package.  Or, each piece can be rented individually.  Individually, the mask & snorkel is $7, fins are $7, and wetsuits are $10.  

Get suited up in your wetsuit, and then our staff will fit you for a mask, snorkel, and fins. Life jackets are also an additional option for younger children or less experienced swimmers. We'll review the water map with you to go over the best snorkeling areas, and what to fish and sea life to look for with your snorkeling rentals.

Our staff members check the snorkeling conditions daily, so we'll be ready to inform you about the current visibility and the best daily snorkeling spots. Check with our store for the daily surf report and visibility before renting snorkeling gear!


Snorkel rentals are for the day, so we recommend getting an early start! Snorkeling gear can also be rented for 24 hour periods, or for multiple days if desired. Snorkeling conditions are usually best in the morning, so come in early to rent snorkeling gear... our doors open at 8 AM daily!

Leopard sharks fill the shallow waters at La Jolla Shores during breeding season between June and November. Don't miss the opportunity to snorkel with these harmless leopard sharks! Rent a boogie board and wetsuit to ride the waves at La Jolla Shores!  Boogie board rentals are $10/3 hours or $15/day!  Wetsuit rentals are $10/day.  

Soak up the San Diego sun at one of San Diego's most beautiful beaches!  Rent a beach chair and umbrella to set up a comfortable spot on the beach for the whole family.  Beach chairs are available for rent for $5/day.  Beach umbrellas are also $5/day.
