Emily
My name is Emily. I was born and raised in Georgia, but moved out to San Diego in 2007 to train with the US National Kayak Team. I’m currently finishing my degree in biochemistry at the University of San Diego. I love living in San Diego because it’s like a giant playground!! The ocean to the west and mountains to the east make boredom a non-issue if you love playing outside as much as I do. I also love early mornings, coffee, and any and every holiday.

- I couldn’t just answer with one activity: I love anything to do with they ocean and marine life; especially fishing. I also love soccer being that my entire family is from Blackpool, England.

- I like to play soccer, go spearfishing, kayak fishing, scuba diving and surfing.
Anna
I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu and moved to San Diego to attend the University of San Diego where I was a was on their NCAA D1 rowing team. I just graduated in May 2012 with a BA in environmental studies and a minor in sociology. When I am not working you can usually find me outdoors at the beach, and hiking or shopping at the outlets when the weather does not warrant a day outdoors.

Grady
Grady abides by the philosophy work hard, play hard. As such, he applies the same gusto and determination he pours into his job into passions like surfing, spearfishing, and diving. Grady also holds a great appreciation for literature, food, drink, film, and music. His favorite thing to do is to escape for a few days at a time by venturing south into the Baja Peninsula in search of good waves and a simpler pace of life.

- I was born in San Francisco but grew up mostly in Westport, Connecticut. I've also lived in New York City, Boston, Thailand, and Peru.

- In my free time, which is few and far between, I enjoy surfing my local breaks or taking short trips down to Baja to escape the rat race. It's a whole different world down there.

Spencer O.
My name is Spencer, I’m twenty years old and I’m a lead guide here at San Diego Bike and Kayak. I grew up in Central America as a missionary kid, which definitely provided me with some pretty crazy experiences growing up and ultimately made me a little weird (I prefer the term ‘quirky’). I am currently going to school here in San Diego to pursue a degree in Political Law and am in my third year of training in receiving an officer’s commission in the Marine Corps to be a pilot. I love staying active and meeting new people and ALWAYS jump at the opportunity to go on an adventure. I’ve always had a love for the ocean and enjoy sharing that passion with others.
